Niki Cicak's career is a testament to the power of community service, small business advocacy, and political leadership. One of her crowning achievements was leading Yemi Mobolade's 2023 mayoral campaign to a stunning victory. This "underdog" triumph underscores her relentless hard work, the strength of her team, and the resilience of the Colorado Springs community.
Niki's passion for community engagement took root as a salon owner, where she revolutionized the industry through Day Lily Salon and Spa. Her book, "Thriving in Salon Ownership," provides invaluable insights into achieving small business success.
She has also co-authored a children's book with her mother, Rhonda, and sister, Mary, called Keeping Promises. A story centered around her niece and nephews on how important it is to keep our word.
Her commitment to Colorado Springs shines through her advocacy work with the Colorado Springs for Small Business Advancement Team (COSSBA) and Exponential Impact's Survive and Thrive program. She works tirelessly to champion small businesses in partnership with city and county agencies. She also founded Community and Cocktails, a dynamic educational and networking platform for small business owners.
Niki's dedication extends to supporting local first responders, raising money through initiatives at Day Lily. As a board member for the Fire Foundation of Colorado Springs, she proudly joins Chief Randy Royal and the Colorado Springs Fire Department to ensure the needs of our front line firefighters are met and help the department thrive.
Niki is deeply honored to call Yemi Mobolade both a friend and her mayor. She is proud to be part of the 2024 class of the Mayor’s Civic Leaders Fellowship, exemplifying leadership that listens, serves with humility, and unites diverse voices for the greater good.
